Saudaagar: Anybody remembers this movie? I enjoyed the character Amitabh Bachhan plays in the film with very definite grey shades. The storyline and the sajna song are good. I am yet to come across another Hindi film with such a pronounced cold and conniving lead character.
Paheli: Honestly, when I decided that I liked this movie, it took me a while trying to figure out why exactly? The vibrant colours, the good music, maybe Shahrukh but I guess what clinched it for me, was that I found this film liberating. Why? Because faced with an absentee husband Rani decides to sleep with the Bhoot!
Ek din achanak: Seen the film? I found this realistic feel and natural acting and somehow I always wish Sriram lagoo would come back.
Thoda sa rumani ho jaayen: It has this poetic twist to the dialogues, again good acting though Nana seems a wee bit OTT, supposedly talks of hope and maybe a happy ending. But, the film makes me sad, I cried the first time I saw it and the second, but then my tear glands work overtime sometimes.
Children of heaven: It is this Iraqi film, I think, and is such a simple tale, told so beautifully and the closing shot is wonderful. A pair of shoes, a young boy, a girl and astute direction creates cinematic magic. That does sound nice!
Baalika badhu: The actor who plays the lead role is adorable and overall the film is immensely enjoyable.
